Harvest Festival is being put on by the local shop owners located in Freighthouse Square. They will be all set up this weekend with sweet treats, a harvest photo booth, a coloring station for the kids, and plenty of opportunity to do some Fall shopping! This event was sponsored by Vee’s Boutique, who is also located in Freighthouse Square.

Climate Change is Here: Challenges & Actions

This is a very special event because it is being put on by a collective of organizations, people, and policy shapers who are versed in the climate crisis and climate justice. This will be an opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about these issues, listen to a panel of various perspectives, and to tour the newly renovated Owens Beach.

Dr. Maxine Mimms, founder of Evergreen - Tacoma, will be hosting a brunch and a faculty and alumni book signing. Authors Professor Peter Bacho, Dr. Joye Hardiman, and Monica Alexander will be offering book signing. Black literature, Black education, and Black conversation. A great opportunity to connect with others and hear some great stories.

Now that Fall is officially here, Tacoma Sunday Market will be moving back indoors with their flea markets occurring the first Sunday of every month! If you’ve been before then you know this is the spot to find the good vintage finds, food trucks, and a day party! The day party, Holy Ghost, will be hosted by the one and only Divine Augustine! Featuring DJs Josiah French and Kween Kaysh!
